Kim's Canadian Adventure

From our Kyle store… Kim’s Adventure in Canada!

Our very own Kim has just returned from an amazing trip, and she’s here to tell us all about it!

She was very fortunate to visit Toronto and Niagara Falls with Canadian Affair, and what an incredible experience it was. From vibrant city sights to breathtaking natural wonders, every moment was filled with adventure, culture, and unforgettable views.

Getting There

My trip started with an overnight stay at the Hyatt Place, London Heathrow. The hotel was very comfortable, with a lovely restaurant on site and just a short distance from the terminals, ideal for a stress-free start to the journey.

The next morning, it was off to Terminal 2 for my Air Canada flight directly to Toronto. The flights were very comfortable, service was excellent, and even in economy, there was plenty of leg room, making the long haul feel much easier.

Toronto – City Life with Style

We spent three nights at the centrally located Chelsea Hotel, Toronto, a large but never crowded hotel with spacious rooms, a rooftop pool with stunning city views, and a hearty breakfast to fuel busy days.

Highlights of Toronto

From the 553-metre-high CN Tower, I even spotted Niagara Falls on a clear day! A harbour cruise on Lake Ontario offered spectacular skyline views, while the hop-on hop-off bus made it easy to explore Casa Loma, Ripley’s Aquarium, St. Lawrence Market, and the Distillery District.

A Segway tour through the Distillery District was a particular highlight, fun, easy, and full of local insight, ending with a well-earned drink. I loved wandering its unique shops and dining at El Catrin for Mexican food and table-side guacamole. With shopping at the Eaton Centre, Queen Street West, Yorkville, and the weather-proof PATH network, Toronto is perfect for a city break or the start of a Canadian adventure.

Nature’s Wonder

After three days in Toronto, I travelled 1.5 hours to Niagara Falls via the scenic Niagara Airbus. The Voyage to the Falls boat tour was unforgettable (ponchos essential!), followed by a walk along the Niagara Parkway with stunning views of both the American and Horseshoe Falls. Highlights included lunch at Table Rock House, Journey Behind the Falls, and Niagara Takes Flight. Evenings at the Sheraton Fallsview Hotel were magical, with dinner at Massimo’s, rooftop fireworks, and the lively Clifton Hill.

On my final day, a helicopter ride offered a once-in-a-lifetime view of the falls’ sheer power. I then explored the charming streets of Niagara-on-the-Lake before finishing at Peller Estates Winery, enjoying local wines and their famous Ice-wine, a few bottles came home with me.

Why Canada Stole My Heart!

My first visit to Canada won’t be my last! The people are welcoming, the cities are safe and vibrant, and the scenery from Toronto’s skyline to Niagara Falls is simply breathtaking. Toronto is perfect for a city break or the start of a longer adventure, while Niagara Falls is a must-see and truly unforgettable."

Olivia’s Manitoba Adventures At Kyle Travel, we love hearing about amazing trips – and Olivia’s fam trip to Canada sounds like a once-in-a-lifetime experience! “After a smooth train ride to London Heathrow, I stayed overnight at the Hyatt Place – it was the perfect airport hotel with really easy connections. The next morning, I met up with my group at Air Canada’s Maple Leaf Lounge to relax a bit… and enjoy a cheeky Mimosa before boarding. We had a last-minute flight change, which meant a quick stop in Calgary – and honestly, it turned into a mini adventure! I loved visiting the Calgary Tower, grabbing drinks at the Fairmont Palliser, and having a lovely dinner downtown. If you ever have a few hours in Calgary, it’s definitely worth exploring. Finally, we arrived in Winnipeg, and I got a good night’s sleep before kicking off the adventure. First, we went on a waterways tour along the Red and Assiniboine Rivers, then drove out to Riding Mountain National Park. We stopped at the Farmer Estate Brewery to try some local beers before reaching our lakeside accommodation in Wasagaming. The town was so charming, with friendly locals, cosy restaurants, and scenic walks.
